The Northern Alberta Interlock was initiated by the the 1660 Hockey League, North Central Minor Hockey, and the Sturgeon Pembina Hockey League. They believe that amalgamating into NAI gives closer co-operation, reduced travel, consistency in regulations and standardized tiering which is in the best interest of all minor hockey players in Alberta, regardless of the location of their home league or geographical location in Alberta.
